Peter began his career in the financial services industry in 2003 and has spent almost 15 years working in various leadership positions. Over that time, he has helped advisors at all stages of their career grow their financial planning practices. When he first started working with Freedom 55 Financial (Canada Life) his focus was on helping new advisors learn the business and this allowed him to hone his coaching and sales skills, which earned him the right to ask his advisors to help with his recruiting efforts and he was able to grow his team using 100% advisor referrals. As his advisors have grown, their needs have become more complex, and Peter now spends the bulk of his time helping his team drive business forward while dealing with the intricacies of running a financial planning firm. The Practice Management areas where Peter spends most of his time are: Teaming, Client Segmentation, Succession Planning, Marketing, and turning Data Insights into action. He currently lives in St. John’s, Newfoundland with his fiancé Tara and his dog Henry. In his spare time, he volunteers with the Canadian Progress Club helping raise money for the Special Olympics and the Vera Perlin Society
