Aamir Chalisa is a Managing Director at the Oak Brook, IL branch of Futurity First Insurance Group (FFIG). He leads this branch with 50 agents; it was a leading Branch at Futurity in 2021. Aamir currently serves as the International Advisory Council Chairman for GAMA Global. With a successful record of accomplishment in growing diversity in corporate America, Aamir has 31 years of experience in the insurance and financial services industry. Aamir joined this Company in a Sales Vice President role managing 6 branches for FFIG. Previously he was a Vice President of Market Development and Diversity for Nationwide Financial Network (NFN), the affiliated retail distribution business of Nationwide Financial Services, Inc. (NYSE: NFS). He played a critical role in growing the NFN field force through various recruiting programs. He also worked closely with management and with the company’s multicultural marketing team to increase Nationwide’s presence in diverse markets. Before joining Nationwide, Aamir was in sales and management positions with Met Life, Prudential, and Mony/AXA. With each company, he was responsible for developing and managing an experienced diverse field force while increasing the business presence in the local Chicago Land communities. Aamir is active in many diverse communities and spends many hours promoting diversity. He is a frequent speaker at industry conferences on marketing and diversity. He spoke at the GNP Manager’s conference in Mexico City on Recruiting & Retention and attended GAMA day in Manila in 2015. He was a main-platform speaker at GAMA International’s LAMP Asia meeting 2016 in Bangkok on the topic of agent recruiting & development. He also spoke at NAIFA National convention in 2016 and 2018. He spoke at GDM/GAMA conference in Pakistan in 2019. Active in his community, Aamir volunteers with FBI Chicago Citizens Academy Alumni Association, President of OPEN Chicago and is active in many other community-based organizations. He is also engaged with the DHS community roundtable. Throughout his career, Aamir has won many sales and management awards and qualified for the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT) many times. Aamir is the Chair of The International Advisory Committee of GAMA Global and has attended GAMA’s LAMP conferences for the past 28 years. In 2015 he was appointed to the Board of Directors at GAMA where he served till 2019 and was named GAMA International volunteer of the year in 2015. He has been honored with GAMA’s first in class award twice in his career. He won additional GAMA awards over many years. He has also attended MDRT and LIMRA Conferences many times. He served on the NAIFA National 20/20 task force. Aamir recently authored a book named “Leadership Beyond Borders” available on Amazon, where he wrote about discovering diversity and volunteerism across two continents. He earned his undergraduate degree and an MBA in Finance/Marketing from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale. Aamir lives in Naperville, IL with his wife, Nuzhat who is an Endocrinologist. They have 2 children, Farah who is lawyer at Baker McKenzie and Amaan who works in healthcare consulting. His hobby is travelling; he has travelled the world.
